Abs and Hourglass figure - The
Oomph and 'X' Factor
Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor sparked the craze for size zero after she reportedly lost eight kilos to acquire a bikini body for Bollywood film Tashan in 2007. Kareena Kapoor is known as the B-Town (Bollywood) ambassador for size-zero. Young Indian women went frenzy over this 'zero-size' concept, and they started their desperate bid to acquire that figure.
Bollywood Actresses like, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangna Ranaut, Anushka Sharma and Shilpa Shetty stuck to the zero size obsession and underwent rigorous physical training in order to sport a leaner body. While Aishwarya Rai supposedly lost 10 kilos for Dhoom 2, Priyanka Chopra too had to work out day and night to fit into her golden two-piece in Dostana.
Size zero or 0 is a women's
clothing size in the US catalog sizes system. Size 0 and 00 were invented due
to the changing of clothing sizes over time, which has caused the adoption of
lower numbers.
Modern size 0
clothing, depending on brand and style, fits measurements of bust-waist-hips
from 30-22-32 inches (76-56-81 cm) to 33-25-35 inches (84-64-89 cm). Size
00 can be anywhere from 0.5 to 2 inches (1 to 5 cm) smaller than size 0.
Anorexia
Anorexia is an emotional disorder
characterized by an obsessive desire to lose weight by refusing to eat.
The western norm of a starved thin
body for fashion models has resulted in Anorexia.
Definition -
Anorexia is a serious psychological disorder. It is a condition that goes well
beyond out-of-control dieting. The person with anorexia, most often a girl or young woman, initially begins dieting to lose
weight. Over time, the weight loss becomes a sign of mastery and control.
Medical Definition of ANOREXIA NERVOSA –
Anorexia
Nervosa is a a serious eating disorder
primarily of young women in their teens and early twenties that is
characterized especially by a pathological fear of weight gain leading to
faulty eating patterns, malnutrition, and usually excessive weight loss.
The
French Government’s ban of “Anorexia” and penalty on fashion model Agencies -
As France joined Italy, Spain and
Israel in banning excessively thin fashion models passing a law
that threatens six months' prison and a fine of US $82,000 for fashion houses
and agents who hire such models, the Indian fashion fraternity, which often
denies this problem has local dimensions, has been watching these developments
closely.
The French move is part of a
wider crackdown on anorexia backed by President Francois Hollande's government.
Lawmakers also approved a separate measure making it illegal to condone
anorexia, a move targeting Internet sites that encourage dangerous weight loss.
While hailing the French parliament move, the Indian fashion designer Wendell Rodricks (known for being involved in everything fashion – from lecturing on world costume history to fashion journalism and styling for international advertising campaigns) said "This is however a very first world, Western and particularly French problem." According to him this is not a problem that Indian models need to even think about. "In India both men and women like their women with a bit of flesh on them. Even looking thin to the point of the emaciation will be a no-no."
"I welcome what the French
lawmakers have done. Fashion is about the beautiful and the healthy. By
bringing in this law, it is being underlined clearly that being healthy is a
very important part of beauty." Said Wendell Rodricks.
Frenchman
Jeff Goldberg, now a Mumbai-based film-maker and designer, is perhaps the only
one who scoffs at the development in his country. "While it's unacceptable that youngsters
are pressurised into unhealthy diets and lifestyles because of size-zero, it
cannot be the government's call, making laws banning anything. Whether
size-zero or the beef ban, when governments get into this turf it can actually
open doors to all kinds of problems. I'd be happier if the government worked
with counsellors, teachers and parents to promote healthier lifestyles than
banning things." He also asked, "What about those who are naturally
size zero? Isn't the French government then simply making it tough on
them?"
While social factors, particularly the western ideal of thinness, is largely blamed for increasing rate of eating disorders over the past several decades.
Creating a minimum size limit
will hopefully prevent young models from extreme measures to fit in, and will
present a more normal, relatable and realistic representation of women in
advertising."
A
team of researchers in the UK has suggested that the fashion industry could
benefit from using average-sized models rather than size zero in marketing
campaigns.
"I wanted to get rid of my
stomach," the beauty blogger Megan O’Brien said. Researchers
have found that skipping meals can ultimately result in abdominal weight gain. Woman Who Wears Size Zero Gets
Liposuction for 'Pudgy Stomach. The
liposuction also used to chisel chubby cheeks and to reduce facial bloating.
Liposuction -
The concept of liposuction is
surprisingly simple. Liposuction is a surgical technique that improves the
body's contour by removing excess fat from deposits located between the skin
and muscle. Liposuction involves the use of a small stainless steel tube, called
a cannula (from the Latin word for reed, tube, cane). The cannula is connected
to a powerful suction pump and inserted into the fat through small incisions in
the skin. Fat removal is accomplished as the suction cannula creates tiny
tunnels through the fatty layers. After surgery, these tiny tunnels collapse
and thus result in an improved body contour.
Getting a phenomenal set of abs requires smart training, a LEAN, clean diet, and minimal equipments.
Stay persistent with a clean
diet, resistance training, and cardio regimen and you’ll be able to maintain
low body fat permanently. Abs require a lifestyle shift and a TON of discipline
— not a quick fix.
Crunches and
sit-ups primarily work the top of the rectus abdominus, aka the 6 pack muscles. Even
though building up the top is an incredibly important part of a stellar
midsection, relying ONLY on sit-ups and crunches will cause the obliques,
transverse abdominus, and lower abs to lag behind. Think of the
transverse abdominus as a belt that runs around the waist and sucks everything
in tight. Exercises like the plank can help build up the
transverse and make the entire torso more compact. The obliques run
diagonally along the side of the torso into the pelvis, which forms the V-cut that everyone craves so much.
The celebrities with a V-cut body include B-Town actors
Salman Khan and John Abraham.

considered to be male desirability and craze amongst the girls and women.

the women trains themselves to obtain abs, even though the women with muscles
are not a sexually desirable lot.

The circumferences
of bust, waist, and hips, and the ratios between them, was a widespread method
for defining women's body shape in Western cultures for several decades after
World War II, and are still used in some North American subcultures for this
purpose. These include terms like "rectangular", "spoon",
"inverted triangle", or "hourglass". The
measurements are generally described using three numbers to describe the bodily
dimensions, or "BWH".
The hourglass shape is present in only about 8%
of women.
One of the Indian ‘X’ shape body example is that
of bollywood actress “Celina Jaitley”.

Tattoo on body -
When we discuss about beautiful bodies it is necessary to examine the current craze of decorating the body with tattoos.
Once upon a time, tattoos were symbols of rebellion. But a 2010 Pew
Research Center study showed that getting inked wasn't a big deal – not for
American millennials anyway. Almost four in ten millennials are tattooed, and
half of those have anywhere between two to five tattoos. While no such data is
available for India, trends indicate we're moving from parading Tinkerbells and
distorted tribal markings to something more personal or meaningful.
When we discuss about beautiful bodies it is necessary to examine the current craze of decorating the body with tattoos.
Earlier, it was all about Shiva,
Om, the trishul and tribal tattoos (mostly guys). Fewer girls are
choosing butterflies, dragons, Phoenixes, pixies, angels, dolphins and Chinese
symbols.
Geometric
tattoos and mandalas have been around for years and some artists
specialise in just that. It's only because of social media that it's gotten the
attention it's been getting, and that's fantastic because it's a beautiful
style.
The gulf
between the sexes when it comes to tattoo size (women typically opting for
smaller, minimal designs and men getting bigger tattoos) is eroding. Honestly,
we don't know why it was there to begin with. Women are choosing larger, bolder
pieces as opposed to a few years ago. That's great, as it allows artists to
capture the idea in a better way. And the tattoo also ages well over time.

tinsel town beauties with voluptuous and alluringly desirable heavenly bodies
are the envy of less fortunate ones and attract male attention and admiration

Having discussed about body
beautiful and eating less and healthy to get into shape in this Blog, it
reminds us the age old proverb “a healthy
mind rests in a healthy body”.
The hygienic body temple is
really something one can go gaga over or boast about. The god created man in his own replica and
the heavenly bodies are the asset of man or woman to flaunt and feel elated
about.
