"JOIE DE VIVRE" = JOY OF LIFE
Let me take this opportunity to wish you all the “Seasons
Greetings”.
JOHNNY’S BLOG WISH YOU ALL AN ENJOYABLE, PEACEFUL AND
SUCCESSFUL NEW YEAR.
In this season of great happiness and joyful celebrations there
is no better subject to choose to write a blog other than “joie de vivre”.
“Joie De Vivre” is a French phrase which
means a feeling of great happiness and enjoyment of life.
Joie De Vivre can be defined as a delight in being alive,
keen, carefree enjoyment.
The festivals are joyful celebrations. When we visit a new country the art, music and culture of that country makes us curious and we set out to experience the enjoyment of the same. We enjoy the art and culture cafe along with their food and delicacies.
Celebrate the finer things in Life.
The Joy of Culture and Travel
I
invite you to join me on a joyful ride to discover my passion for all that is
beautiful in this world: music and the arts, wonderful new places, delicious
food, good books – and a little of what brings joy to body, mind and soul.
As we
share our passions for beautiful things, we share JOIE DE VIVRE.
Our journey together or
the wanderer’s lust takes us along to new culture, delicacies and a new world
hitherto unexplored. Such an experience
will result in refreshing and recharging of both mind and body temple. Joie de vivre increases our life span.
In simple words, a
person who laughs a lot will definitely live longer than others.
Where
to search for joy? Joy is not in things;
it is in us. Almost
anything can be joyful. It is a matter
of your point of view. Explore your heart and soul and
discover true enjoyment and great happiness.
An early twentieth
century painting by Henri Matisse captioned “La Joie De Vivre” is exceptional.
The different kinds
of wine, cake and chocolates adds to ‘joie de vivre”.
The annual fair and festivals
The annual fair and festivals
Best of all are the annual Chocolate, and Beer & Whiskey Festivals, held in the vast Stockholms- mässan (exhibition center) in the southern city of Sweden. This year’s Chocolate Festival seemed even better than the last, which in turn was better than its predecessor, formerly housed in the great Nordiska Museet. There is an impressive array of hand-made chocolates, evidently a burgeoning business in Sweden. Once again there are several chocolate fountains, including licorice- and orange-flavored chocolate in which, for five or ten crowns, visitors dip marshmallows. There is every imaginable shape and size of sweet delicacy, with flavors that defy the norm, and chocolate sculptures that win prizes in the competition.
I probably wish I could smell the roses a little bit more.
No matter what age you are, or what your circumstances might

What allows us, as human beings, to psychologically survive life on earth, with all of its pain, drama, and challenges, is a sense of purpose and meaning.
Don’t let the behavior of other people destroy your inner
peace.
Live the life with elegance, style and joie de vivre.
Word
of God, one with the Most High,
in Whom alone we have our hope,
Eternal Day of heaven and earth,
We break the silence of the peaceful night;
Savior Divine, cast your eyes upon us

Savior Divine, cast your eyes upon us
Pour
on us the fire of your powerful grace,
That all hell may flee at the sound of your voice;
Banish the slumber of a weary soul,
That brings forgetfulness of your laws!

Banish the slumber of a weary soul,
That brings forgetfulness of your laws!
O Christ, look with favor upon your
faithful people
Now gathered here to praise you;
Receive their hymns offered to your immortal glory;
May they go forth filled with your gifts.

EXERCISE – it relieves stress, generates endorphins which boosts mood, increases circulation, and helps you keep your weight under control.
EAT
BREAKFAST – it prevents you from becoming “hungry”,
and helps you to perform. Be sure to include protein!
SPEAK
UP – being assertive enhances
self-confidence and prevents feelings of helplessness.
DO
LESS – don’t overload your plate. Pace and steady yourself by having plan of
action. Try to take time each day to simply BE.
FOCUS
ON MAKING MEMORIES – spend money on an experience
rather than on buying things. Savor your mental snap shots by putting your best
friends, moments, and happy times on the frig door and enjoy them daily.
GO
OUTSIDE – go out into the fresh air and
connect with nature. Take a brief walk, listen to the birds, and smell the
world.
HAVE
A HUG – ensure that you have some
physical affection in your life. The power of touch is very important
for us human beings.
FACE
NEW CHALLENGES – do the things on your
to-do list. See the people and places you have always wanted to see. Don’t put
off tomorrow what you can do today. Explore and discover!
AVOID
LATE NIGHTS – plan your bedtime at a civilized
time and get at least 7 hours sleep a night. Don’t waste time watching TV,
rather rest your eyes. You will recharge your body and mind, and be prepared
for the new day tomorrow.
BE
GRATEFUL – remember to focus on the all good
things in your life. You would be surprised to find how blessed you are.
THE HAPPY DIET
- Eat regular healthy snacks as this will keep blood sugar levels stable.
- Eat less white, refined foods which create an energy and mood high followed by a low. Rather eat whole-grain carbs, protein, and a little healthy fat. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables.
- Don’t ever “deprive” yourself: eat a varied diet, change it regularly, and keep it colorful. EAT THE RAINBOW!
Life is so much brighter when we focus on what truly
matters.
